Well ... Spanish doesn't write it out, but Icelandic does.  I mean,
there's no problem with using non-standard spellings in e-mail, I use
"tho" and "thru", for instance, but if you're talking about how
Icelandic is written, it would make sense to conform to the standard
spelling.  Just my .2 dime.
