Well, I live in Deventer ['dev@nt@R], Overijssel [ov@R'Ejs@l],
Nederland ['ned@rlAnt]. The region is called Salland ['sAlAnt], which
caused no end of hilarity and confusion when we celebrated Conlang
Day in a region in Denmark called almost the same (Sjaelland, IIRC;
I've been trying to find the messages where Lars spelt it but they've
probably fallen into the bit bucket with the latest upgrade).
I was born in Haarlem [harlEm], and yes, this is what gave Harlem its
name.
