I am from:
City: Norwalk ['nOrwQk]
County: Fairfield ['fEjrfild]
State: Connecticut [k@'nE4Ik@!]
Country: United States [ju'naj4Id 'stEjts]
Nearby cities:
New York [nu'jOrk]
Stamford ['ste@~frd]
But now I live in:
Montreal [mVntSri'O:l] or [mo~Re'al]
Quebec [k@'bEk] or [ke'bEk]
Canada ['ke@n@d@] or [kana'da]
Because I go to:
McGill University [m@'gIl junI'vrsI4i] (that's a syllabic
r)
But I must say that my [e@] before nasals is beginning to
change to [&] -- that Canadian accent is catching up with
me quickly!
([r] is American r and [R] is French r. also [!] is
glottal stop, right? geez i am getting rusty...)
