I _love_ 4.1. It includes rather large bitmap fonts - with lots
of Unicode characters, including chunks of IPA. it can handle
TrueType, which means that the whole of Arial Unicode is
availabe. As for Qt, together with XFree 4.1, Kura was already
able to combine diacritics and IPA characters. The most important
missing bit is the keyboard definition - and with KDE, that's an
easy thing to add.
Oh, and 4.1 includes xvideo - which meant that Irina and I
were able to watch Breakfast at Tiffany on my new laptop. That
was fun, too, getting dvd players to work!
