Barukh ben-Yohhanan I already know, and it'll have to do.  Maybe "horseman"
could be used as a loose translation of Philhippos, so that my son becomes
Horseman ben-Yohhanan.

FWIW my own Persianization of Philip is Dostasp "Friend-of-Horse".

"Susa'i" sounds right to me.  Does it to Hebraists too?  Any clue of the
Arabic equivalent, since that would make me both ibn-<Whatever> and
abu-<Whatever>! :-)

OTOH I always thought that the Sindarin form "Melroch" sounds kinda
Persian, so maybe it can pass in Hebrew too?
