What about sentient/nonsentient? The primary use is for your sentient beings, yes? With personalized animals also being included. Rational/Irrational is another terminology I've seen for languages that have a gender including humans, gods, spirits, etc. vs. one that doesn't. -- "There's no such thing as 'cool'.
