I believe the Canadians have already done so. At least, the one Canadian
to whom I regularly speak is totally ignorant of the Customary system of
weights and measures, and it seems likely that he is more or less representative
of his generation (i.e., mine) there.
When the Empire was kinda deconstructed, did most countries immediately
go metric? Did any stay with the Imperial system of measurements even
after independence?
