I might be misremembering whether it was radio-carbon dating or some other process. (In retrospect, I probably am.) In any event, it is widely accepted (by scholars, not just by adherents of the religion) that the Gospels were written down within seventy years of the events they claim to describe. The Book of Reveletion, for example, is usually dated to around 95 A.D. Understandably, most of this evidence is papyrological.
