I'm pronouncing [t] and [d] with lateral release.
Sometimes, they come out as lateral affricates; i.e.,
[tK] and [dK\], respectively, but I try to minimize
the affrication. I can't think of any natlangs
off-hand that have them, though many Native American
languages have lateral affricates.
