When I went to Japan a few years ago, I stayed with a family named Sese. However, initially we thought the name was *Seze, since that's how it was written by the teacher who matched up host families to students. I assume she saw the kanji and assumed the second character was voiced, when they don't actually voice it. -- Eric Christopherson / *Aiworegs Ghristobhorosyo
