The Charyans - speakers of Denden - don't really distinguish
'drugs' as such. They drink small beer, lots of wine, inhale
psychoactive incense, drink tea and chocolate. There are things
that are generally considered really unhealthy, such as werat,
which makes your body more beautiful, but kills quite quickly.
A quick vocabulary:
soi generic wine, alcoholic drink
arsoi cherry-wine
risoi rice-wine
pesam grape-wine
soi'rezed bread-wine (i.e. beer -

givat incense
werat beautifying substance, no fun to take
pesam chennam chocolate wine
sampüsh lemonade

These webpages are very old - amongst the first I made for my
conculture, in 1998, and the structure of the website is quite,
well, chaotic.
