Re: The year dot (was: Ebisedian number system)

I'd just like to state for the record that my comments about the
relative intuivity of year counting with or without a year zero were
not intended as any kind of commentary, positive or negative, on any
religion, but concern only my own feelings about the intuitiveness of
the system from my own viewpoint.  Historical explanations such as
several listmembers, most notably Ray Brown, have supplied, while
extremely interesting and essential for a full understanding of the
situation, are irrelevant to the particular aspect of Christian
Thalmann's original statement which I wished to address.

(This is not to imply that those explanations were unnecessary, simply
that they address a different aspect of Christian's statement than my
own comments.)
