Gee, we're acquiring quite a subject line here ^_^

ocular as in, short o sound ^_^ like in odd, top, cot, etc.. as for the air..the sound is more a combination of sounds (ayer or so..the a is long) the au in cause...this doesn't sound like a short o at all ^_^ it's the sound when you have au or aw together, like in claw, cause, shawl, caw, and more or less like the a in fall and call..and also an onomatopoeia when girls are wooing over how cute something is (aaaaaawwwwww....) As for accents, I've only been in NYC once ^_^ (and that was an hour layover that turned into sitting in the plane on the runway for some 5 hours) I am a resident of St. Louis, and have been all my life ^_^ Though I oughta learn those ASCII phoenetic thingies...out of curiosity, where would be a good place to find a chart of them? ^_^ -Axiem -axiem@swbell.net P.S. Someone exclaimed over 3 people in a week..well, I think another person is getting on soon ^_^ I kinda got one of my friends interested in ConLangs ^_^
