interestingly, kontoko is the result of a dream that i had. i woke up
and wrote down the words that i remembered (in IPA) and what they meant.
once i had a rather significant list of words and phrases (i had the same
dream several nights in a row), i began noticing patterns in the words,
made the kontoko writing system and figured out quite a bit about old
kontoko by internal reconstruction. since then, i've mainly constructed
new words by creating old kontoko words and going through all the typical
changes to kontoko (including analogical changes, grammatical sound
changes, semantic shifts, and compounding).
