Nobody forced you to *listen* to us :))) . You could have done like the
Dutch: until just a few decades ago, most nobility in the Netherlands spoke
French, and one of the reasons was to ensure the staff couldn't understand
what they said. The result is that a certain amount of French vocabulary
found its way into the main Dutch language, but its grammar remained unscathed.
In other words, the only ones responsible for butchering the English
language are the English themselves :))) (or you gonna blame Cockney on the
French? ;)))))) )
