Only if, like English, your language doesn't care
one way or the other. A language such as Trebor
is trying to create, where transitivity is a
marked thing, it becomes everything but illusion.
It is not illusory in Talarian, for example.
While there is no marker that means "this verb is
transitive", I frequently find that
"intransitive" verbs are conjugated in the middle
or stative. And of course, the statives
themselves might as well be the "Intransitive
Conjugation", since they can not take objects.
Illusion? No more than anything else in language!
