True enough. But the main reason you don't throw a knife against
another knife is that you're too likely to miss, and then you've
got nothing else (unless you are Two-Knife Bob, Terror of the Plains).
At long distances, *if* you are accurate enough (which is more of a
gift than a skill one an acquire), you have time to react if you miss
or things are otherwise botched.
