True enough. But the main reason you don't throw a knife against
another knife is that you're too likely to miss, and then you've
got nothing else (unless you are Two-Knife Bob, Terror of the Plains).
At long distances, *if* you are accurate enough (which is more of a
gift than a skill one an acquire), you have time to react if you miss
or things are otherwise botched.
But you, Wormtongue, you have done what you could for your true master. Some
reward you have earned at least. Yet Saruman is apt to overlook his bargains.
I should advise you to go quickly and remind him, lest he forget your faithful
