Nik, I read your post on the number of possible words in numbers of
syllables. Anyway, I came up with these numbers, but only as high as two
syllables:
6 vowels, 3 consonants
V = 3
CV = 6*3 = 18
VC = 6*3 = 18
VNC = 6*3 = 18
CVC = 6*3*6 = 108
CVNC = 6*3*6 = 108
One-syllable words: 450
VV = 3*3 = 9
VCV = 3*6*3 = 54
VCVC = 3*6*3*6 = 324
VCNVC = 3*6*3*6 = 324
CVCV = 6*3*6*3 = 324
CVCVC = 6*3*6*3*6 = 1944
CNVCVC = 6*3*6*3*6 = 1944
CVCVNC = 6*3*6*3*6 = 1944
CVNCVNC = 6*3*6*3*6 = 1944
Two-syllable words: 8811
And that gives a Grand Total of 9261 words of two syllables or less. I
don't even care to calculate the number of three-syllable words right now!
(Words of more than two syllables would probably be compound words or
foreign loans: _Amitika_ "America", _inklik_ "English", _kampiuta_
"computer", _Intanit_ "Internet"...
