After considerable effort I've produced something that is, I think, satisfactory (albeit extremely clumsy). A thorough semantic analysis is provided to enable review. See below: Fontwc cykkynt preget* rent ga*nyeqdrys - Substitute: 't with downturned semicircle under it' in place of 'nt' 'pi-shaped letter' in place of 't*' 'lambda-shaped letter' in place of 'a*' Pronounce: /fOntuS Syxynt rent ganye:Rdris of pregeT/ Means: We must swordfight language deaths - fontwc mwl preget*drys. Substitute: as above Pronounce: /fOntuS mul pregeTdris/ Means: we must create language(s). Fontwc cykkynt preget* rent ga*nyeqdrys - fontwc mwl preget*drys. fontwc = imperative with plural inclusive 'we' as the subject. cykkynt = swordfight (no particular reason why it might not be used metaphorically), lit. 'to use sword for intended purpose'. preget* = language, lit. 'system for speaking'. rent = a feminine definite plural article. Here I am exploiting a feature whereby a feminine abstract noun derived from a verb refers to the _conclusion_ of that verb, hence this refers to the _conclusion_ of language death, i.e. extinction. ga*nyeqdrys = to bring about the negation of life. mwl = verb modifier implying that something is necessary to achieve a goal as opposed to being a command given on a whim. preget*drys = to bring about language. In the written language, an imperative always specifies a subject. I suppose in the spoken language one might remove the 'fontwc's. Possession is indicated by two noun phrases in a row; in this case 'preget*' owns 'rent ga*nyeqdrys'. The suffix 'drys' is not very specific. It just means, "to bring about the existence, emergence or realisation of". Therefore 'preget*drys' technically covers natural, unintentional production of new languages as well as creative conlanging. Name of language: Gza*rondin (full title: Ryn Gza*rondin Preget*) Substitute: 'lambda-shaped latter' in place of 'a*' 'd with downturned semicircle under it' in place of 'nd' -- WEB. | Here and there I like to create a few islands of sanity NETYP.COM/ | within the vast sea of absurdity which is my mind.
