English as a world lingo

Well, a major qualification for English to be a World lingo is that many
who
live in other countries outside the normal English speaking areas
have to learn it as part of their jobs.
From the news reporter, to the Air Traffic Controller to the Pilot,
teachers and more.. This does not mean they speak it as their
primary lingo, but they have some proficiency in the lingo to
be able to speak it clearly.. Radios are the worst, for they need
clarity
of speech, diction, vocabulary and inflection or people may die.
English is often found outside of areas that have some connection with
the British Empire/Commonwealth or US control, unlike the other major
lingos of the world are often almost exclusively found in areas
of the former colonial empires or some other historical ties (Britain
and
French being one of these that have ties).
