The name is not popular in America at the present time, but certainly
there are many other people named Moses in Jewish history besides the
original, notably the doctor and scholar Moses ben Maimon (aka Maimonides)
and the philosopher Moses Mendelssohn (grandfather of the composer
Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy).
