Well stations like C-Span do provide for such things.
But they do not get much publicity.
For the next four years, however, there will be a
lot of attention given to the continuing investigation
of the Florida election. Florida-Gate (hey, conlangers
-- a new word) will perhaps get as much attention as
Watergate, though it seems unlikely to bring down a
President in mid-term..
So the media acts reactively, never pro-actively.
