I believe that I once formulated a law for this: As a Conlang discussion
grows longer, the probability of it degenerating into an English
pronunciation thread approaches one.
Alas, it has no sociological corollary to Godwin's Law; i.e., mention Nazis
and the thread is over; but start an EPT and it will consume all other topics
of conversation until it succumbs to its own bloat.
