By the looks of it, the purchaser will be the website owner, who can
then use the product on their website to convert text to the desired
font on the fly whenever the webpage is downloaded. No purchase would
seem to be required by the font designer or the website visitor.
I thought it was quite slow - the wikipedia page included a comment from
the inventor saying the process was good for headlines and small pieces
of text, but not for entire webpages.
Interesting idea, though ...
