I've been scanning in the illustrations of the Primer
(work-in-progress link is
http://arthaey.mine.nu:8080/~arthaey/conlang/writing/mcguffey/ ),
complete with pictures of horses and cats and dogs. I have an alien
planet, but at least humans have also settled there, so I can say that
I'm translating one of their books. An Asha'ille reader targeted to
the Terran-speaking humans. :) My animal "translations" are actually
words for native species that are similiar in form or function, which
seemed the best compromise to me.
