True; but a three way (at least three _word_) distinction in adverbials:
sini 'here', situ 'there' ("usually within sight" says the dict.), sana
'there' (distance not specified, but IIRC it's more vague than situ.  "Mau
kemana?" Where ya goin'? "Kesana saja" Oh, just over there...)
And just a two way distinction again in begini/begitu 'like this/like that'

Kash, as usual, follows this pattern:  taya 'this', iya 'that' (also the 3sg
pronoun), but with the remnant of a far-demonstrative in the adverbials:
ritan 'here', riyan 'there-visible' riyun 'yonder (out of sight)'.  FWIW,
taya and iya are the only forms in the language that distinguish masc., fem.
and inanim. (in the singular; only anim/inanim. in the plural):  taya, taye,
tayu; iya, iye, iyu; pl.  tala, tash; nila, nish.
