Of which the prototype is Loglan, which begat Lojban, which is widely
regarded as the archetype, and with which Mr. Cowan is intimately
familiar. (I wait with bated breath for his book on the subject
to return to availability; alas, it currently sits on my Amazon with list
with a sad "Out of stock" indicator.)

It's true that natural languages are not logical, but the earliest
constructed languages were. Humans have a tendency to try and create more
precise systems of communication; hence mathematical notation,
formal logic/Boolean algebra, etc, long before computers turned
precision of expression into a requirement for getting anything
done. :)
