I met several times a term "possessive typology" in Russian linguistic papers
while talking about Tagalog et Co., contrasted to "nominative t.", "ergative t."
and "active t." I found the term "trigger" for the first time only in this List,
and later at seasite.niu.edu pages. IMHO, "trigger" explains everything in much
more convenient way than an old (1963) booklet from "Languages of Asia and
Africa (Jazyki Azii i Afriki)" series that uses ugly terms like "instrumental
passive voice" et al.
