That, to me, is confusing. It sounds as if I shot you on Friday, but on
Sunday I caused your death, that the causing and the shooting were two
distinct events, as if, say, I shot you on Friday, but then on Sunday I
disconnected your life support. I'd say "I shot you on Friday and you
died on Sunday". "I shot you on Friday, causing you to die on Sunday"
would also be acceptable. But, I don't see where the problem would be
in a language wherein "kill" and "cause to die" were the same, if, as in
my English sentence, the two verbs were shown to be connected.
