. Hmmm...possibly. They certainly wouldn't call it _yehudit_ ("Judahite"/"Judean"), since that's used in the Bible to refer to Hebrew. "Italkit" would be a good name, although they would probably spell it with a _kaf_ instead of a _quf_. I guess they would end up calling Italian "italit" then, without the /k/.
