Same here; note [tS], not [ts]. And d' sounds more like [dZ] than
[dz]. But I've only dabbled in Russian, and don't hear it very often
from either native or non-native speakers, so I am not any kind of
authority. If the Russophones on the list say that /d_j/ is
frequently pronounced [dz], who am I to argue? I"ll just have to get
over my surprise and move on. :)
