Another Dan Back

Hi all! It's great to be back! Life in the natlang-only world was a
bit boring!
Danny (Wier), that's quite a blaze of creativity you've returned
with!
I'm jealous!
Saxlang sounds particularly intriguing to me. (BTW, by "different
timbres"
are you including what we, in high school band so fondly referred to as
"goat vibrato"? Don't ask me how the sax players produced it; I can only

describe how we trumpet players produced cow calls on our instruments!
:-) )
Anyhow, I also liked the idea of expanding the notion to include
other
instruments. Imagine: a person speaking ("playing"?) violin-lang trying
to mediate
a heated discussion between speakers of saxophone and trumpet!
Along with interesting discussion results, you might end up with one
hell of a jazz trio! :-)
Seriously, I for one would be interested in hearing about the
development of
an instrument-lang. The challenge, I would think, would be to create a
system that both
communicates information while, at the same time, manages to sound
musically
pleasing (that would be my preference, anyhow; it might not be
everybody's.)
