I had forgotten that! I found one post from myself where I'm urging
someone not to give up on the list because hopefully we'll start talking
about something besides IALs soon. :-)
My first post is in the missing archives though -- late 1994, early
1995.
On 25 Sep 95, I suggested we collect Babel Text translations, and I
posted four:

Actually, that was Rick Harrison's. My newsletter was _Model
Languages_, which morphed into LangMaker.com.
Rick doesn't publish JPL anymore, alas, though it morphed into
InvisibleLighthouse.com.
