I had forgotten that! I found one post from myself where I'm urging someone not to give up on the list because hopefully we'll start talking about something besides IALs soon. :-) My first post is in the missing archives though -- late 1994, early 1995. On 25 Sep 95, I suggested we collect Babel Text translations, and I posted four: http://mercury.ccil.org/~cowan/conlang/con9509 Today we have 231! (BTW, Thomas, will you be in Boston next Monday? I think I have an appointment near you, so maybe we could finally have lunch.)

Actually, that was Rick Harrison's. My newsletter was _Model Languages_, which morphed into LangMaker.com. Rick doesn't publish JPL anymore, alas, though it morphed into InvisibleLighthouse.com. John, thanks for posting these archives. Best regards, Jeffrey
