Pale is certainly universal, since human dead body tends to turn more pale than a
live one. And since most people are concerned anout what may happen to them
after death, it is not suprising that most culutres have some kind of gost,
even thought they are not exactly identical every where. but i believe every
culture has some legend about creatures more or less similar to gosts, zombies,
vampires and the like, though the cathegories might be split differently.
