In Denmark, young people here say 'mand' /m&n?/ (meaning 'man') and=20
'ligesom' /'lisOm/ (meaning 'like') in much the same way. They also=20
used 'alts=E5' /'&l?sO/ (meaning something like 'I mean...' or '...is=20
what I mean'). Perhaps its a Germanic phenomenon, or maybe they=20
simply adopted it after watching too many American TV series.
