Well, I find that the script has some familiarity with the Itakian native
script! :))) Did you see the picture I made for it? (if not, just ask me and
I'll send it to you) The shapes have some resemblance, but the system is
different. The Itakian script is an inverse abugida, while the Gwr script looks
more like an illegitimate child of the Devanagari and Korean scripts :))) , two
of my favourite scripts by the way :) . I saw also that some shapes could be
easily confused (like the ones for /g/ and /N/, or the ones for /S/ and /h/),
but as you know I consider possible ambiguities as features rather than
bugs ;))) . The tone notation is interesting, if maybe a little *too*
straghtforward. On the other hand, if it's a recent feature the Gwr adopted in
their script (maybe until recently they didn't bother noting tone, just like in
Itakian tone is not marked in the native script), I'd expect it to be
straightforward.

I'm pretty sure METAFONT could handle that very easily. But of course, you'd
need to learn LaTeX to enjoy it then ;)) . I'm currently (during the little
moments of pause I allow myself between the slow construction of the Conlang
Journal) learning METAFONT, so in a few months maybe I'll be able to create a
font for you :)) . Otherwise, except for the positioning of the tone marks I
don't see what really needs tickering. A normal True Type font could probably
handle most of the features of this script. Or did I miss something that should
be obvious?
Christophe.
