Firstly, Langmaker's current lack of maintenance is caused by bumping against the disk
space quota at the current hosting site, if I understand correctly. If JH can find time to
move to a new host, Langmaker can be fresher and better than ever.

From my viewpoint, it's a spiritual/cultural thing. Here are some analogies: The people in a country might prefer to be independent rather than being a colony of some far-away empire. Although being tied into a big collective has some strategic advantages, the Enterprise crew always resist being assimilated by the Borg. Many people working at Yahoo do not want to find themselves working for Microsoft. So, I don't know for sure that this is the case, but it seems possible that the admins of Langmaker and FrathWiki like the individual flavor of their sites and do not want to see them absorbed and consolidated. It's not a technical debate, to me, it's a spiritual debate. If such a merger occurs, I would appreciate an opportunity to remove the data I've contributed before the merger is finalized.
