While I am religious, I'm going to say that you're both wrong.
Faith is not blindness to reason, but reason is not integrated in any
way to Faith. In some ways, Faith can be seen as the antithesis of
Reason - that is, rather than being based on reason, it is formed around
blind trust. Something that, in my opinion, is quite admirable, in some
ways. However, faith is also not 'blindness to reason'. Not by
definition, at any rate. Faith can, in some circles, be blind to
reason, but there are also large sections that are not. For instance,
belief in the existence of a God is not inherently irrational. It may
be without basis(something I rather disagree with, but that's an other
argument), but it is not irrational.
Damn, I seem to have violated the no-cross, no-crown rule. But I think
it's forgivable, because I'm not advocating anything.
But one point - getting offended at something is not neccesary. Ever.
It just creates problems.
