OT: 10th anniversary of the founding of Conlang
From: | John Cowan <jcowan@...> |

For those of you who are not on the Conlang (constructed
languages) mailing list, it was founded (or at least the earliest
discoverable message was posted) ten years ago today, on 18 July 1991.
There had been an exchange of emails among some of the founding members
as much as a month before; however, by 18 July the initial listserv at
buphy.edu was definitely in operation. Of the original members at
that time, only three are still on the list today (unless some are
in deep-lurk mode).
This is therefore Conlang Day.
