interlineal text for the web

Hi, all,

Anyone have any suggestions on a standard format for interlineal text tha=
t I
can use in e-mail or html?

I can't seem to find any way to do tabs on e-mail or in geo-builder.

The only way I can do tabs in the regular html editor is by using the
preformatting, which is impossible to edit once I post it.

The best I've managed to do is create interlineal text by creating tables=
,
but this is time-consuming.

So, I thought I'd ask if there were ...

a)    a way accepted by linguists  OR

b)    a way that has worked well for any conlanger out there

... to do interlineal text on the web.


For instance, would it be good to do it this way?

CONLANG PLAINTEXT        ha filocad=E9 mun=ED c=E1fui.
morpheme by morpheme    ha # filoca - d=E9 # mun=ED # c=E1fui.
m by m translation                OSV # dog - plural # 1st sing # see
ENGLISH PLAINTEXT            I see the dog.

What else do I need beside word-boundary vs. morpheme boundary markers?

Is this convention clear enough, even though the words don't match up
vertically?

I think these questions has some general interest:    some conlang
descriptions of sentences I've read are easier to understand than others,
and I certainly can't be the only one who might be interested to know the
clearest conventions possible.

My software's a little buggy, so if I don't get thanks out to the right
people right way, please accept my thanks in advance.
