Forgive me if this is too off topic for the list (not sure) but i have a
program that renders landscapes. It does it very realistically. I was
thinking for those who wanted to have an easy way of showing scenery of a
conworld ( its only drawback is it doesnt have an option for creating
trees, but for distant scenes, it looks very real) , it might be a nifty
program to use. You can show verdant cliffs, snow capped mountains, and
idyllic lakes. Anyway, the program is called Terragen. the programs
homepage is: http://www-users.york.ac.uk/~mpf103/ . There are three
pictures that were rendered by the program on that page. Best of all, the
program is free.
