"Ob-" is shorthand for "Obligatory", and it's a way to tack a (more or
less) related on-topic comment to the bottom of an off-topic message,
notionally to avoid posting an entirely off-topic message, but it's a
lighthearted usage. Generally, "Ob" preceeds either the name of the
list/group (or an abbreviation), or the name of the main subject matter of
the list/group. In our case, the two are the same, which is nice.
I've seen "ObOT" more than once, just to confuse the issue...
