The prefix "Ob", in a mailing list or Usenet post, stands for "Obligatory".
Combined with the topic of the list or group, it is used to introduce
on-topic material into an otherwise off topic post. For maximum points,
this should be done in such a way that the on-topic material follows
logically from the off-topic material that has proceeded it.
