Re: Conlang dialects....
The Druni language has at present four viable dialects. The Ravzhurian has
become the "planetary" standard, the basis for SID (Standard Imperial Druni).
The Runtani dialect is spoken in the region of Runska (Northrealm) and is the
second most widely used dialect on Drun. It is phonologically simpler than
Standard and has a slightly different gramatical structure but all in all is
not that far removed from its parent Ravzhuri.
I have basically "created" dialects to experiment with possible permutations
of Standard Druni. I have the nasty habit of then "importing" changes that I
like into SID. This is helpful in the ongoing evolution of Standard Druni but
the language keeps on changing albeit not drastically. As there are several
people now learning Druni, this can be very disconcerting to them!!
Ta sholisu ta Drunit shola zarideynarit vey palanait onyaren!
(The dialects of the Druni language are alive and well!)
