Terms like Mommy, Daddy, Poppa, Momma and like, have some origin. I know in German you have Mutti, for mother, sort of a kid term.. Some I suspect come from Norman French and others maybe from Old English and other germanic languages.. Like Dutch/Frisian.. Mike
