Aiee! That was my comment, and I would like to clarify that I don't find
that *German* sounds raspy; I really love the sound of the language. But
because of *my* inability to pronounce a damn thing right, *I* get a sore
throat from the occurrence of [x]. I get a sore throat from speaking
*English* for more than 15 minutes. Which makes my *voice* raspy, but
doesn't have to do with the inherent sound of the language other than my
difficulty pronouncing it.
YHL, feeling like an idiot now that she's the only one who can't speak
German without getting a sore throat
