I can't find any printed form other than "ye"; I suggest you
have here a "mondegreen", as in

        Ye Highlands and ye Lowlands,
                And where have ye been?
        You have slain the Earl Amurray,
                And Lady Mondegreen.

(i.e. "of Murray, and laid him on the green").

However, the Web site I cited earlier gives the third line of
"Deck the halls" as "Fill the mead cup, drain the barrel"
rather than the line I know, "Don we now our gay apparel" ...
and changes "Yuletide" to "Christmas"! *arrgh*
