Eh? I've never heard "eetoo wa" before here in Tokyo,
nor in most of the country for that matter. Indeed,
they say "eetoo" with e drawn out. The "wa" form
suggests that maybe you heard a female saying "umm"
(as in the female "wa" of "sou wa yo")?? Apart from
that case, I'm clueless where you get the "wa"....?
