The earliest reconstruction I'm aware of for reš (mid second millenium BCE)
is an alveolar tap (i.e. /4/), although our resident Hebrew scholars may
have better answers. AFMCL, Thagojian borrows Hebrew {r} as /d/, since in
Thagojian, {r} is /r\/.
