At graduation, my school gave everyone a New Testament; mine is inscribed:
"Hic liber sanctissimus /  Rogero Frederico Mills /......datus est...."  I
think the real Latin form of Roger was Ruttiger or Ruthiger or Rudiger; the
original Germanic was Hrothgar or something like that.....
